A heartwarming story out of Belmont County Tuesday, as a little girl gets a special wish granted just in time for Christmas.
During the Belmont County Commission meeting, a little girl named Autumn got a big wish granted.
In October, her mom took her to commission to introduce her and get a proclamation about childhood cancer awareness and on Tuesday, she was back.
The organization Special Wish, based out of Columbus, worked closely with Boscov’s at the Ohio Valley Mall to provide Autumn with a big girl bedroom.
Autumn will be a big sister soon, so it’s only fitting that she got a big girl bed and big girl furniture.
“Thank you guys, to Mr. Maddox for the wonderful bed, and she’s got a new big girl room that we’re hopefully going to get her into,” said Autumn’s mom.
Autumn is currently cancer-free, according to her last MRI.
Special Wish says donations are tax-deductible and they’re always in need of volunteers.
