Thanks to the efforts of a local health care facility, it is now easier and more convenient for women in the St. Clairsville area to schedule and receive their annual mammogram.
The St. Clairsville Health Center, which is an affiliate of Belmont Community Hospital, has expanded its mammography center.
Officials from the center, along with Belmont County Commissioners, celebrated with a ribbon cutting Tuesday afternoon.
The expanded facility offers the latest technology in digital mammography. It also offers the latest technology in digital mammography.
It also offers evening and weekend hours, making it more convenient to schedule screenings.
“Women’s imaging should be done in an environment that is conducive to a woman. So we designed this center to bring down the anxiety a woman might experiencing when it’s time to have her annual mammography,” said Diane Livengood, the Director of Wheeling Hospital Radiology Services.
Vice President of Belmont Community Hospital, John DeBlasis added, “this just keeps everyone local and and is very appropriate for patients in our area.”
The staff includes an expert mammography team of radiologists and surgeons specializing in breast care. Officials at the center said the hard work and dedication of St. Clairsville resident Jennifer Bond helped to make the expansion possible.
