Police are not releasing the name of a man who barricaded himself in his home for nearly eight hours Monday night.
State Police are now handling the investigation. They say because the man’s family believed he was going to hurt himself, circuit court issued an order allowing police to legally enter the home and remove him.
At the scene on Tuesday, neighbors told 7News that they heard police yelling the man’s name into the home, saying they were trying to help him.
Hancock County prosecutor Jim Davis says it is too early to know if any charges will be filed against the man.
