Stolen Purse Investigation in Bellaire Leads to Arrest of Woman, Two Men on Outstanding Warrants

A purse stolen from a Bellaire BP station led police to an apartment where two men and one woman were arrested.

Bellaire Police report that an investigation into the theft, which occurred on Sunday, led to an apartment at 64581 Bell Village earlier this week. The purse was recovered and the suspects arrested were Clara Young, 35, for theft, obstructing justice, and tampering with evidence. Another suspect, Jared M. Neff, 19, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and obstructing justice. The third subject, Justin Wallace, 34, was arrested on two outstanding warrants, and obstructing justice and resisting arrest, as he reportedly tried to elude officers by hiding in the attic.

Bellaire Police were assisted by the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office, who spotted the suspects, vehicle.

In an unrelated case, Bellaire Police this week also recovered a stolen Harley Davidson Motorcycle taken from Wheeling at 106 East 23rd Street. The motorcycle was impounded for processing.
