Students at Madison Elementary School Celebrate Thanksgiving

For 33 years one local teacher has been educating her students on the true meaning of Thanksgiving.

This year is no different, as per-schoolers at Madison Elementary dressed up as Pilgrims and Native Americans on Tuesday and talked about what they are thankful for and even learned how to prepare a meal.

“The children learn so much from their families and I want them to feel the warmth of their families here and it’s a beautiful setting for all of our families to get to know and work together, ” said Lisa Armstrong, pre-school teacher

After, the children celebrated by gathering around the table with their families and enjoyed the Thanksgiving dinner they helped prepare.
