If you were you at Stratford Springs with your little ones Saturday, you got to see some of their favorite superheroes and princesses, as well as some local law enforcement heroes; and hear about the dangers of bullying.
It was the first event to be held at Stratford Springs and the inaugural affair has was aimed at children, because Party Coordinator, Amy Dunn, said they recognize that times have changed and being a kid isn’t as easy as it once was with a large influx in drug use and broken homes, “You can be a superhero, you can be a princess. You can be a good kids and do the right things, so we just wanted to make it a really nice atmosphere, environment for the kids to come and have a good time, meet some of their favorite characters, and hear a good message behind it also,” Dunn said.
A couple of the kids who attended the event talked about what they learned, “Batman told me; never give up, never be a bully, and always be kind,” said Kymante.
“I talked to Elsa and Ana. Mom in the background “What did they tell you?” KyRah talking – “I can’t remember.”
The overall takeaway for the children was to learn to never give up, always do the right thing, help others, and never be a bully. The children also got some free school supplies for attending.
