Suspect in Malicious Assault Turns Himself In


 After being on the run for months, a Wheeling man is behind bars Tuesday for allegedly assaulting a woman back in April of this year.

Police said Tyerice Irvin, 19, turned himself in Monday night for his warrant of malicious assault. 

According to Sgt. Gregg McKenzie with the Wheeling Police Department, he was wanted for allegedly hitting, kicking and smashing a glass bottle on the back of his girlfriends head back in April.

Irvin is currently in the Northern Regional Jail under $50,000 bond.
