“Suspicious Activity” Leads to Drug Arrests in Jefferson County


Three people appeared in a Steubenville courtroom Tuesday morning after suspicious activity leads to multiple drug arrests.

According to the Steubenville Police Department, it happened Monday afternoon in the Pleasant Food Lot.

After the two vehicles left the lot, an officer caught up with one vehicles at the Hawk gas station.

The officer says they found heroin, a hypodermic needle, and crack cocaine inside the vehicle.

Lloyd Richard Boatrite, of Wintersville and Ashley Bryant, of Lebonnon, Ohio ­were arrested and are being held at $6,000 each.

According to police, Wayne Lott was arrested shortly after Boatrite and Bryant. Officials believe he is the man who sold the Boartire and Bryant the drugs.

Lott is charged with Tampering with Evidence, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Drugs.
