A Switzerland of Ohio School District teacher has been arrested on five charges ranging from sexual battery to the pandering of sexual material involving a minor.
According to Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney James Peters, Brandi Hobbs, a teacher at Swiss Hills Vocational School, was arrested on Friday and charged with the following: one count of sexual battery, two counts of disseminating matter harmful to a juvenile, one count of illegal use of a minor in a matter involving nudity, and one count of pandering of sexual material involving a minor.
Authorities said the arrest came as the result of a six-month investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, Ohio BCI and Monroe County Prosecutor’s Office. Hobbs had been on administrative leave since the end of the previous school year. She remains behind bars until her arraignment hearing on Wednesday, where bond will be set.
In an unrelated case, another Swiss Hills teacher remains on leave as a separate investigation continues.
