‘The Next Big Voice’ Names 2015 Finalist

Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack hosted The Next Big Voice singing competition on Friday, July 10 and Saturday, July 11 in the Wheeling Island showroom.

The grand prize winner, selected by three music industry professionals, is Matt Ferree of Pittsburgh, PA.

Ferree’s extraordinary performances of “Come Together” by The Beatles and “Use Somebody” by Kings of Leon won him a grand prize package, which includes a trip to New York City, one song demo produced by Synematik Music World, a meeting with the Senior VP of Warner Chappell Publishing, and $5,000 cash.

The second place winner, Hannah Greggory, Cambridge, OH, received $1,000 cash for her stellar performances, a gift certificate to dine at The Pointe and a 2-night hotel stay.

The third place winner, J’Aira Pryor, of Pittsburgh, PA, received $500 in cash, a gift certificate to The Pointe and a 2-night hotel stay.

Fourth place winner, Tim Ullom of Wheeling, WV, and fifth place winner, Elli Garbark of Wheeling, WV took home certificates to The Pointe, along with a hotel stay.

Sixth place winner, Kristin Daughtery, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and seventh place winner, Alyssa McKitrick of Wheeling, WV also took home gift certificates to The Pointe.

“This year’s finalists brought so much talent and energy to the stage,” said Osi Imomoh, General Manager. “We are so excited to see our winner take his singing career to the next level. I want to especially thank all of the sponsors, judges and hosts who made this event a success.”
