Three men are behind bars in Belmont County after allegedly terrorizing a neighborhood.

Belmont County Sheriff Dave Lucas tells 7News that two calls came in early Saturday morning about a group of men dressed as clowns in Bellaire, shining lasers at cars and blinding drivers.

When officers responded, they found a group of men carrying knives, a hatchet, firearm, and laser.

Sheriff Lucas says the incident is under investigation, but police will not tolerate this kind of behavior.

“Like these three individuals, they will be arrested. They will be taken to jail, and they can do their clowning around in jail because this is very serious” said Sheriff Lucas.

19-year-olds Eric Geisel and Greg Carter Junior are facing charges of concealing a weapon. Sheriff Lucas says Geisel was reportedly carrying a hatchet and Carter was carrying a gun.

18-year-old Jessie Morris is facing charges of inducing panic for allegedly shining a laser into moving vehicles.

They are being held at the Belmont County Jail on $1,000 bond.
