Two Charged With Vehicular Homicide After Fatal Accident at Powerline Park

UPDATE:

Belmont County Sheriff Dave Lucas tells 7News the victim at the fatal accident at Powerline Park was Mark Magazine, 46. He was hit by a UTV.

Two people are being charged with vehicular homicide. Authorities believe alcohol was a contributing factor.

Shawn Cape, 53, of Hiller, Pennsylvania and Tonya Moorehead 38, of Mount Morris both posted bond and have been released from the Belmont County Jail.

Hiller’s bond was $31,000. Cape’s was $30,000.

The sheriff says a report will be filed with the prosecutor’s office and more charges may be added.

One person was killed after an incident at Powerline Park in Belmont County. It was during the annual event for ATVs, trucks, Jeeps and off-road vehicles.

Belmont County Chief Deputy James Zusack says it happened late Saturday afternoon.

Chief Zusack says two people have been taken into custody, but he says the incident was a vehicle accident, not a homicide.

He says right now, information is vague, and the name, gender and age of the victim is unknown.
