Two Senior Status Judges Appointed in Marshall County Until Vacancy of Judge Karl is Filled


 A Marshall County judge is a week away from retiring, and two Senior Status judges will be taking his place until the next judge is appointed by Governor Tomblin.    

Judge Mark Karl will retire on Tuesday, March 31. Senior Status Judge Robert Stone will preside from April 1st through the 30th. On May 1, Senior Status Judge Arthur Recht will start presiding until a successor is appointed, and sworn into office.

Judges Stone and Recht were appointed by West Virginia Supreme Court Justice Margaret Workman for the 2nd Circuit vacancy.

The 2nd Circuit covers Marshall, Tyler and Wetzel counties.
