An Amber Alert has been issued by the Lawrence Township Police Department for the following regions: East Central Ohio, which includes the following counties: Carroll, Coshocton, Guernsey, Holmes, Portage, Stark, Summit, Tuscarawas, and Wayne.
Police say three children, Brayden, Carter, and Colton Rooks were taken by a non-custodial parent in Lawrence Township, Ohio. According to police, they were last seen Monday at 5:15 p.m. Children last in custody of mother, Tara Rooks. According to the Amber Alert website, Rooks threatened suicide and has attempted suicide in the past. They may be in the Canton, Ohio area. The children were supposed to be returned to their father Sunday. A missing persons report was filed on Monday.
Brayden Rooks, 10, is a white male and weighs 85 pounds. Brayden has blonde hair and green eyes. Carter Rooks, 6, is a white male and weighs 70 pounds. Carter has brown hair. Colton Rooks, 12, is a white male and weighs 100 pounds. Colton has brown hair and has brown eyes.
Police say Tara Rooks, age 38, is a white female, weighing 175 pounds, with blonde hair and brown eyes.
According to authorities, the vehicle involved is a gray 2011 Kia Soul with OH plate number FZH3275.
