Traffic is moving again on I-70 eastbound after an accident involving a pickup truck and a tractor trailer resulted in a diesel spill early Tuesday morning.
According to the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office, crews continue to clean up leftover dirt and debris into barrels. Traffic was stopped for nearly 45 minutes and two lanes were closed.
No injuries were reported.
An accident on I-70 Eastbound has closed two lanes of traffic due to crash that resulted in a HazMat spill.
The accident happened around 9:30 Tuesday morning and backed up traffic for miles from Two-Mile hill to Elm Grove.
The Department of Environmental Protection is on the scene.
