UPDATE: Police Recover 14 Shell Casings After Multiple Shots Fired in Center Wheeling


UPDATE 8:00 A.M.

According to Wheeling Police PIO Officer Philip Stahl, the initial call came in at 1:55 a.m. of multiple shots fired.

This happened between the 2400 and 2500 block of Chapline Street in Center Wheeling. 

Police recovered 14 shell casings. The shots may have come from two different people. No one was injured and there are no suspects.

Police say there could possibly be surveillance. The investigation continues.

Original Story 4:00 a.m.

Wheeling Police are investigating multiple shots fired overnight in the Center Wheeling area.

According to officers on scene the call came in just before 2 a.m. Thursday morning in the area around the Family Dollar Store and the post office.

Police say there were several witnesses. There are no reported injuries or arrests.

As of 4 a.m. police were still on scene investigating.
