UPDATE: Water Restored, Boil Order in Effect for PSD #4 Customers in Marshall County

Crews worked all night and into Sunday morning to restore water to customers in PSD #4 in Marshall County.
Anyone who was without water when the line was exposed is under a 48 hour boil order, which began Sunday morning.
Officials with the water department said they lost one million gallons of water.

WTRF is learning that all Marshall County Water customers in PSD 4 are under a Mandatory Water Conservation order.
Crews with the water department tell us that the Main Water Line is now exposed and washed into the creek along 4th Street in Moundsville.
Crews say by using the water you are risking losing service completely.
Right now around 40 homes are without water. Crews say that number could reach into the thousands if the problem is not fixed by the morning.
The state has been notified and approval is pending on a project to fix the problem.
