Police arrested the man they say held up a Marathon gas station at gun point Monday morning in Weirton.
Joshua Coffman, 31, of Steubenville was arrested Tuesday and charged with armed robbery.
ORIGINAL STORYPolice are investigating an early morning robbery Monday at a Weirton gas station where the suspect remains at large.
It happened about 12:31 a.m. at the Marathon gas station at the intersection of Main Street and Hudson Street.
According to police, a man walked into the station, approached the clerk and asked for a pack of cigarettes. The clerk told police the man put his hand in his pocket and told the clerk they had 10 seconds to give him all the money in the register or else he was going to blow his head off.
It is unclear if the suspect actually had a gun, but the clerk told police he acted as though he did.
Authorities said they are not sure how much money the suspect got away with.
The suspect is described as a white man, about six feet tall with a thin build. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a black jacket with a hood and gray gloves.
