PITTSBURGH (AP) –
Officials are warning there is a potentially deadly batch of heroin on the streets of western Pennsylvania.
U.S. Attorney David Hickton has scheduled a news conference on Wednesday to discuss several recent overdoses.
At least a dozen nonfatal overdoses have been reported in Washington County since the weekend. The drug was contained in bags marked with a picture of a black boot or labeled “Peace of Mind.”
There have been 15 nonfatal overdoses in Cambria County since Monday. More than half involved bags labeled “BULLETPROOF.”
There have been several fatal overdoses in Allegheny and Cambria counties from bags labeled “Black Ops.”
