A restaurant gaining traction and popularity in Downtown Wheeling has had it’s fair share of obstacles when it comes to expanding it’s menu options for customers, due to permit issues.
The Vagabond Kitchen currently located at the McLure Hotel in Downtown was happy to make a major announcement, Thursday. Owner Matt Welsch says he is excited about the move because his dreams for the restaurant have been somewhat halted, but that’s all about to change.
“I’m thrilled to announce that Vagabond Kitchen is partnering with D.C. Ventures and will be moving our restaurant to the market square area, just a couple blocks north of our current location inside the McLure Hotel,” Welsch said.
Welsch said the new site will go in the former Fiddlestix and Industronics buildings on Market Street. In the meantime, he said their current spot will remain open for business, and invites you to stop by!
The new location is expected to open by the end of the year.
