The 14th annual Wheeling Feeling Chili Cook-off will take place at Heritage Port this weekend.
It’s always held on the first Saturday in June, and features live music and some of the best chili on the East coast.
Chili can be sampled from any of the vendors by purchasing a ticket from one of the volunteers that will be stationed throughout the event.
Crews were working hard Thursday putting together the final preparations. They said this year’s cook-off will be the biggest yet.
“We are going to have a lot of fun like we do every year,” Chairperson Rose Mary Warmuth said. “We are also going to have an extra raffle, along with all of our chili. We are going to raffle off two tickets to the Rolling Stones concert in Pittsburgh.”
Melynda Sampson of Upper Ohio Valley United Way said all the proceeds will benefit 28 different agencies that are United Way agencies.
The event will be held rain or shine. In case of bad weather, it will be moved inside WesBanco Arena.
