It was a close race that came down to 23 votes for the Bethlehem Mayor seat as Incumbent Garrett Daniel faced off against newcomer Tim Bishop.
Tim Bishop unofficially defeated Daniel, who had been mayor for almost ten years, and who was seeking his 6th term.
7 News spoke with Bishop who says he’s looking forward to serving the community he grew up in and he’s ready to give back for the next two years.
The results are unofficial, pending a canvass.
There were also races for city council, the only uncontested race was in the First Ward. Incumbent Robert Henry held off a challenge from William Piko.
Henry won that seat with 59 percent of the vote.
