More than $6.3 million in grants will support the operation of community-based corrections programs statewide.
Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin announced the grants Friday.
The grants for 27 programs will continue to provide the judicial system with sentencing alternatives for offenders who may not require jail time.
The funds are administered by the state Division of Justice and Community Services.
