West Virginia is joining a multi-state online game called Monopoly Millionaires’ Club.
Lottery officials say the state will tentatively start participating in time for the Jan. 10 drawing.
The Associated Press reports that 22 states and Washington, D.C., currently offer the Monopoly-themed game. West Virginia is expected to join eight other states launching the game in 2015.
Officials say the game will have $5 tickets and is designed to have multiple million-dollar winners. According to the game rules, a jackpot win will trigger at least 10 and potentially hundreds of $1 million winning tickets.
Joining the new game was announced during a Thursday Lottery Commission meeting. Officials said Lottery revenues continued to slide in September, down more than 7 percent from a year ago.
