W.Va Workers Gather to Discuss State Plans to Increase Healthcare Costs

Dozens of workers gathered to discuss a proposal that could cut benefits to state employees.

It was a packed house at West Virginia Northern as the West Virginia Public Employees Insurance Agency addressed a proposal that would raise employee deductibles.

State Representatives were on hand including Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Jeff Kessler and Ohio County Delegate Shawn Fluharty.

Those in attendance heard first hand stories from local workers and how the proposal, if passed, would drastically change their lives.

Two additional meetings have been planned across the state.
