MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (AP) – A Kearneysville man has admitted his role in a dog fighting operation.

Fifty-four-year-old Steven Curtis Jennings pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court in Martinsburg.

Federal prosecutors say that last June, Jennings was found in possession of multiple dogs for the purpose of participating in an animal fighting venture.

He faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
