The first ever Restaurant Week will be held across the Mountain State starting next week. The purpose of the event is to showcase some of the fan favorite restaurants from all over West Virginia and locally 5 eateries in Wheeling are making the list.
The event also coincides with the kick off of ‘101 Unique Places to Dine in West Virginia’. The restaurants will offer specials to guests to show off why they’ve been chosen. In Wheeling we all know that our locally owned restaurants are fantastic, but coordinators hope this event will give people from across the state and beyond an opportunity to come to Wheeling and taste for themselves to see why 5 of our restaurants made the list.
City Officials think it will be a great way to bring tourists into the City and explore all of the charm Wheeling has to offer. “It’s very exciting and we’re really looking forward to Restaurant Week, becoming an exciting event for years to come, and especially in the Wheeling area having 5 great restaurants to showcase the area. It’s really exciting,” said Wheeling/Ohio County Convention & Visitors Bureau Marketing Assistant, Mike Biela.
West Virginia Restaurant Week takes place July 13th through the 19th. For more information about places to stop around the state visit gowv.com.
A press conference is set to take place on Monday where organizers with the event will announce which 5 Wheeling Restaurants made the list.
