Wetzel and Tyler County Residents Continue with No Power from Snow Storm

Mon Power reported 700 Tyler County residents and 400 people in Wetzel County residents are still without power.

An expected restoration to most customers will be late Tuesday night.

Mon Power reported 1015 Tyler County residents and 844 Wetzel County residents are still without power.

An expected restoration to all customers is Sunday at 11 p.m._______________________________________

UPDATE: 3-7-15

Appalachian Power reported it has restored power to all its customers in Marshall County.

Mon Power reported over 1900 people in Wetzel County, and just under 1600 people in Tyler County are still without power. 

They have an expected restoration to all customers by Sunday at 11 p.m. 

There are also 70 customers in Marshall County without power. AEP said service will be restored Saturday afternoon.

High numbers of power outages are being reported across the State of West Virginia due to Winter Storm Thor. As of 10 a.m. Friday, close to 10,000 people across Marshall, Wetzel and Tyler Counties are without power.Warming shelters have been set up in the following locations:

Wetzel County: New Martinsville United Methodist Church

Tyler County: Tyler County Senior Center

Marshall County: Cameron City Building
