Wheeling Central raced out to a 27-0 halftime lead, and went on to win 41-14 over the defending Class A state champion Madonna Bluer Dons at Wheeling Island Stadium.
Central running back Brandon Angalich scored four touchdowns and rushed for 113 yards. Kevin Keane added a career-high 147 yards on the ground, along with a touchdown.
The Maroon Knights, now 2-1, will host city-rivals Linsly (0-2) next Friday night.
The Blue Dons continue a six-game road trip next week at Cameron (0-3). Marquise Jeter returned a kickoff 79 yards for a touchdown, and Dillon Shaw broke off a 61-yard touchdown run. Blue Dons quarterback Joey Ewusiak was injured in the first half and did not return for the second.
