On Wednesday, the Wheeling Health Right announced they will break ground on an all new dental clinic, something they say is vital for the health of the Ohio Valley.
A grant has been awarded to develop an onsite dental clinic, set to open in early 2016.
The focus of the Health Right is the patient, and the clinic worked to answer the need they saw for access to dental care.
Dentists and dental professionals are already signing up to volunteer in the clinic. The Health Right is proud to call the project a community effort from start to finish.
“To me this is the piece that we’ve been missing. We do mental health here at the clinic, we do medical care here at the clinic, we do education, now we can do dental care. Truly everything in the primary care setting. We have a licensed pharmacy, so it’s a one stop shop. This will be the final piece to the puzzle. And in a community that is as wonderful as we have with so much support its exciting to see this coming together,” said Executive Director of Wheeling Health Right, Kathie Brown.
The new clinic will replace the existing kitchen area, and will have 2 full service dental chairs.
The Health Right says they receive calls everyday about the new dental clinic.
