Student safety is the top priority for the staff at all schools throughout the country and the Bridgeport School District is doing what they can to keep their kids safe with the help of Wheeling Hospital.
The school received a generous donation from Wheeling Hospital who donated first aide items that will be placed in buckets in every classroom.
Should the students need to stay in their classrooms for an emergency or if they happen to get minor injuries, they won’t have to go far to get supplies they need.
“Now we’re able to fill those buckets with the materials that we would need in a minor crisis, thanks to Wheeling Hospital. We greatly appreciate it and can’t say how much we owe to them for supporting the local community and the local schools,” said Bridgeport Schools Superintendent Zac Shutler.
The donations were apart of Wheeling Hospital’s Community Outreach Program.
