Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack is looking to cash in on some major upgrades, announcing plans Tuesday for a $2.7 million renovation project.
Hotel officials said the 151-room hotel tower will be seeing some upgrades to hallway corridors, room wall coverings, carpeting, lighting, elevators, vending areas and bathrooms. They said in-room amenities will feature the best in hospitality offerings available, which includes plush Serta mattresses, soft feather beds, luxurious linens, fluffy pillows, beautiful bathroom vanities and on-trend accessories such as mobile device charge ports, contouring desk chairs, lounge chairs and free wifi to satisfy leisure and business travelers alike.
The main lobby will also be receiving a facelift with new tile flooring, new counters and a framed wall moral surrounded by a lighting display.
“This $2.7 million project is an exciting example of our unwavering commitment to staying competitive in the tri-state,” said Osi Imomoh, President and General Manager. “The upgrades are going to give guests a safe and comfortable stay at Wheeling Island.”
The renovations, which will be done in phases, are expected to take 15 weeks to complete.
