Wheeling Jesuit University (WJU) awarded 397 degrees to members of the Class of 2015 during its 57th commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 9 at the Alma Grace McDonough Center on campus.
Graduating with the highest honors was valedictorian Andrew Howard of Wheeling.
The keynote speaker was U.S. Rep. Tim Murphy (R-Pa.), a 1974 WJU graduate, who represents the Pittsburgh area in the U.S. House of Representatives.
WJU alumnus and board member Margaret “Mimie” Helm ’84 also received an honorary degree. Helm served on WJU’s board since 2005 and was its chair from 2009-13.
