Wheeling Jesuit University is in the Christmas Spirit.
The Administration Council hosted their annual potluck luncheon Friday and they use the event as a way to give back during the holidays. They invited members of the community to join them and all they had to do was bring a covered dish and a toy to be donated to Catholic Charities.
The council has been doing the potluck luncheon for over 20-years, and it helps to promote the university’s commitment to our community, “It’s just an opportunity for us to give back to the community, because Wheeling Jesuit is very oriented in service learning and so we want to have the ability to teach both our students and our employees how to give back to the community,” said Becky Forney, Chair of the Administration Council.
The Wheeling Jesuit Lacrosse team also took part in a service project and bought toys to be donated to Catholic Charities also.
