Wheeling Police arrested Dewanya Kortez Neal, 22, Wheeling, for carrying a concealed weapon. This happened just after 8:00 pm Sunday.
Officers report they were at the new East Wheeling Sports Complex regarding an unrelated matter when they were approached by someone saying Neal was waiving a pistol around, about a block away.
Police found Neal at the intersection of 14th & Wood Street. After searching him they found a loaded, semi-automatic handgun concealed, without a permit.
Neal was arrested and taken to Northern Regional Jail until his arraignment by an Ohio County Magistrate.
