The Wheeling Nailers are hoping for strong support from the community as they only have seven home games left.
They will take to ice Tuesday night as they continue to fight for their spot in the 2015 Kelly Cup playoffs.
The regular season is winding down and every game is important at this point. In fact there are only 11 games left and right now the Nailers are on the outside looking in.
They’re currently in fifth place in their division and the top four teams qualify. They’re one point out of the final playoff spot and four points out of third.
“That’s our goal at the start of the season,” Wheeling Nailer Zack Torquato said. “We want to put ourselves in a position to play into May. We want to make the playoffs now and we have been playing well. We have had great fan support. We love playing at home. Hopefully they will keep coming out.”
The Nailers take take on the Toledo Walleye tonight. Puck drops at seven o’clock
