There’s a new look at one Ohio Valley restaurant, as Perkins on National Road in Wheeling held its grand reopening on Monday.
After 12 years at the National Road location, the company renovated inside and out, with fresh new interpretations of the well-known logo and colors. Community leaders and the Wheeling Chamber of Commerce cut the ribbon on Monday as the members of American Legion Post One raised a new flag in the parking lot.
Owner-operator Frank Carolla said he used all local companies to do the work. “Panhandle Cleaning and Restoration was the main contractor. And we used all local people, all local workers, for everything that was done here at the facility. We did a complete remodel, inside and out, without ruining the atmosphere that we had and we’re real happy with the turnout.”
The Wheeling Perkins employs 150 people.
