Wheeling Police Searching for Information in Malicious Assault


Wheeling Police are searching for a suspect in an alleged malicious assault. 

On Thursday evening, officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Overbrooke Avenue in regards to a reported dispute. After the initial report, which came in around 6:30 p.m., police were then sent to a Wheeling-area hospital for a disorderly man in the parking lot with a bloody shirt. 

Officers said they were able to determine the man was the victim of a malicious assault linked to the initial call the responded to on Overbrooke Avenue. 

Witnesses said a second victim was also reportedly at the Overbrooke location, and left in a vehicle with the first victim. 

Police are looking for information on two suspects:
A white man with brown hair, about 5’10 with a thin build
A white man with brown hair, about 5’6 with a medium build

Officers said both men appear to be approximately 30-years-old.
