The second annual Taste of the Market is kicked off Thursday at Centre Market in Wheeling.
Residents ate good food and participated in a Chinese and silent auction.
Colemans Fish Market, the Soup Shack, Later Gator, Market Vines and Valley Cheese all served up their famous dishes, and Oliver’s Pies provided a table full of a variety of different pies and cookie pops.
The event was truly about raising money for one local organization. This year, all the proceeds will be donated to Re-Invent Wheeling.
“This year our fundraiser beneficiary is the Re-Invent Wheeling, which is a group dedicated to helping revitalizing Downtown Wheeling and we thought for our 100th anniversary to help give back to the city that we have been apart of for 100 years,” Wheeling Rotary Club member Timothy McKeen said.
The event will wrap up around 8 p.m.
