The Wheeling Suspension Bridge will remain closed until Thursday.
After the bridge was inspected, crews found two bent rods along with a damaged stiffening truss.
Officials say the damage was done after a drunk driver crossed the bridge and lost control of the vehicle Friday.
The funding to make the repairs will come from the state, it is estimated to cost a few thousand dollars.
DOH crews say in order to make the repairs they will have to access the damage portions of the stiffening truss using scaffolding below the bridge.
The repairs to the bridge this time will come cheap compared to when the greyhound bus attempted to cross. Those damages cost $15,000.
