Temperatures drop below zero this morning with wind chills ranging from -7 to -20 over the viewing area. As the result, over 56 schools are delayed and more delays are likely to come in later this morning. (See 6 a.m. Temperatures Graphic).
We will be under a wind chill advisory until 11 a.m. Tuesday. Wind chills will range from 10 to 20 below zero. All precautions should be taken with this event. Bundle up in layers. Do not stay out in the extreme cold more than 10 to 15 minutes as frost bite can begin to occur. Cover all exposed skin.
Temperatures will begin to warm up later Tuesday morning into the 20’s. Wind chills will continue to be at or near zero through the entire day.
Our latest stretch of freezing weather should last until late Sunday (March 1st).
