Thursday was the coldest day in December we’ve had in 12 years, and it wasn’t any different going into Friday morning as we saw the coldest temperatures since 2008.
Now, going into Friday night we have a freezing rain advisory to worry about from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., when the temperature should move above freezing.
That’s where the fear for the roads come in because if it does rain then it will freeze tonight.
And with that AAA suggests:
- Take it easy on the gas and on your brakes.
- Make sure you’re driving distraction free and increase the amount of space between your car and others.
- Avoid using cruise control, by not cruising down the road it allows you to respond instantly when you take your foot off the gas.
The best advice to stay safe, is to simply stay off the roads.
