WJU Claims 2015 MEC Women’s Golf Title


 Wheeling Jesuit’s Kasey Frazier earned medalist honors for the third-straight year to help Wheeling Jesuit claim the 2015 Mountain East Conference Championship on Wednesday afternoon at the Cobb Course at Glade Springs Resort.

Frazier closed with a final round 75 to shoot a three-day total of 225, 13 shots better than runner-up Michiko Smith of Notre Dame College. The Cardinals got a strong final round of Kenaida Mills who shot 74 — the best round by any player on the final day. Mills and NDC’s Christi Bilas tied for fourth individually. 

Wheeling Jesuit was 11 strokes better than Notre Dame on the final day to win the team championship by 13 shots, 982-995. Charleston was third (1,030), followed by UVa-Wise (1,100), Urbana (1,150) and Fairmont State (1,256).
