WLU Passes Policy to Ban Deadly Weapons

The Board of Governors at West Liberty University passed a new policy to ban the possession of deadly weapons, destructive devices, or fireworks in any form.

The vote came earlier this week and the policy applies to all University faculty, staff, students, and visitors, including those on any satellite campus.

WLU Campus Chief of Police and Director of Public Safety Joseph Montemurro says he agrees with the policy saying it’s in accordance with most colleges and schools across the country.

The ban also applies to weapons visible inside of vehicles.
