A woman was arrested after she live-streamed herself allegedly driving drunk on a social media app called Periscope.
Whitney Beall, 23, began live-streaming herself earlier in the night while she was out at a bar, and again while driving home.
In the full video, Beall said, “I’m driving home drunk, let’s see if I get a DUI. I don’t think I will.” She continued, “I’m driving home drunk. I am really drunk.” Viewers of her stream pleaded with her to stop driving and several called 911 to alert police.
According to ABC News, a quick-thinking police officer promptly downloaded the app and watched her stream. He then tracked down where she was driving and pulled her over.
She reportedly failed several field sobriety tests and refused to take a breathalyzer. Beall was charged with driving under the influence.
