Opening day is one step closer for two national restaurant chains who have decided to open up in Hancock County. A brand new Domino’s Pizza Theater restaurant will be opening on Pennsylvania Avenue, and a Dunkin’ Donuts will open its doors on Three Springs Drive.
Crews are working on the walls and the drive-thru area of the Domino’s Pizza Theater restaurant, which will be in the former Weirton Heights Fire Station building.
The foundation is under way for the new Dunkin’ Donuts. The restaurant popular for its coffee and donuts should be open by early spring.
Business Development Corporation Director Pat Ford said both of the businesses opening are contributing greatly to the Northern Panhandle’s economic growth, lowering unemployment rates from 11 percent in 2009 to seven percent in 2014.
