Work preparations continued last weekend in preparation for a major upcoming bridge project in Belmont County.
Workers will continue their milling and paving work as part of the $5.1 million bridge rehabilitation and removal project.
The preparations will continue on Interstate 70 about a half mile east of the State Route 800/Barnesville Exit in Belmont County.
The work is planned to resume Sunday, April 19 from 7 p.m. until 11 a.m. on Monday, April 20.
Motorists should be aware driving will be a contraflow pattern, meaning two lanes of traffic in each direction, but one direction will be split.
The project involves the rehabilitation of the east and westbound bridges over Spencer Creek, and the removal of the east and west pair of bridges over an abandoned railroad bed just east of Exit 202. The completion date for the project is May 2016.
