Even though one California couple’s wedding was called off, their reception was one that guests will always remember.
The wedding was booked at a high-end hotel in Sacramento, but was called off by the would-be-groom a week before.
Instead of letting the evening go to waste, the would-be-bride’s family decided to hold the reception.
The original guest list was scrapped and replaced with a much different list.
The family invited local residents from a homeless shelter to enjoy the evening.
The menu included salad, cauliflower, salmon, and tri-tip beef.
The bride and her mother will still take advantage of the nonrefundable trip to Belize that would have been her honeymoon.
