The West Virginia Day concert is scheduled for Saturday night.
The concert is headlined by the United States Army Field Band and Soldiers’ Chorus and will be held at the Heritage Port.
This performance is scheduled to help celebrate West Virginia’s 152nd birthday, as well as the last year of the Sesquicentennial Celebration in Wheeling.
In the event of rain or high water, the concert will be moved inside the Capitol Theatre.
The concert is free and open to the public. A final location decision will be announced on Saturday morning no later than 10 a.m.
A fireworks show will close out the event, weather permitting. If the concert is moved inside, the fireworks show will be moved to Wednesday, June 24 following Waterfront Wednesday.
