Wednesday’s weather didn’t keep people away from an annual favorite in Harrison County.
The 171st annual county fair kicked off Monday and continues through Saturday.
Some of the activities include carnival rides, food, and farm animals.
Commissioner Dale Norris said the one thing he looks forward to every year is eating the Elephant Ears.
“They have had good crowds. They have a new ride company that most people are talking and raving about. Tonight they have a demolition derby, tomorrow night is OSTPA truck and tracker pull, Thursday night is the rodeo Friday is truck and tractor, and they close the fair out with a truck and tractor pull on Saturday,” said Commissioner Norris.
Commissioner Norris also said people can come out and enjoy the fair but be weary of the hot weather and drink plenty of fluids.
